Ingredients
  • 1 kg caster sugar
  • 1 kg fresh ginger
  • 4 l water
  • 2 sachets vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract)
  • mint leaf
  • 3 lemons
Instructions
  1. Peel the ginger and blend with a little water to form a paste.
  2. Put the water in a large container, add the ginger paste and the lemons, cut but not peeled. Leave to stand for half an hour.
  3. Filter the juice. Add the vanilla and, little by little, the sugar. Taste regularly to make sure you've added enough sugar. Add a few mint leaves, bottle and store in the fridge.
  4. Shake the bottle well before serving, as the ginger will settle to the bottom.
  5. Your traditional Jus de Gingembre is ready. Bon Appetit!
