Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a square baking tin or oven dish of 20x20 cm with butter.

Put the ingredients for the batter in a bowl according to the indicated order and then beat everything with a (hand) mixer with whisk(s) for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

Spoon the batter into the baking tin or oven dish and bake the cake for 25-35 minutes until brown and done. You can test this by carefully pressing in the middle; if the cake springs back, it is done.

Make the sauce while baking. Put the whipped cream, 100 g sugar, butter and water in a pan and bring to the boil over medium heat while stirring. Heat everything until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.

Remove the cake from the oven and immediately pour the sauce over it, so that it is completely absorbed.
